Here's our monthly newsletter, full of sweet new information and ideas, including new products, a St. Patrick's Day candy recipe and craft, holiday fun, and store updates.
All City Candy is collecting candy donations to help fill Spring Baskets to be delivered to patients at University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital in Cleveland. Customers at both stores may purchase a candy item of their choice to place into the baskets, which we then deliver to Rainbow on April 21.
"We always like to find ways to give back to the community,” says Elisabeth Sapell, founder and president of All City Candy. “Partnering with Rainbow has become a twice a year event – we fill baskets in the spring and we fill Santa Sacks in the winter. We were shocked when we heard how many children are being cared for at Rainbow over the holidays. These children and their families are going through a difficult time and we want to give them a little something to help spread some cheer.”
All City Candy will be collecting donations at both stores through April 20.
All City Candy will have a table at the 2nd Annual Chocolate Fest Cleveland, Saturday, March 9, from 4-8 p.m. at Lago Custom Events, 1091 W. 10th St., Cleveland. Stop by for free samples of some of our most popular gourmet chocolate-covered treats.
March is National Peanut Month, which means you can celebrate all month long with your favorite peanutty treats. Whether it's peanut brittle, chocolate covered-peanuts, or candy-coated peanuts, there is a huge variety to keep you crunching all month long.
French for "Fat Tuesday," Mardi Gras is celebrated on the day before Ash Wednesday. Historically, those who observe Lent would binge on rich, fatty foods prior to the traditional types of fasting that occur during Lent. Mardi Gras celebrations often feature beads, gold coins, and the colors of purple, green, and gold.
Now this is a day to get excited about, given the number of different ways you can celebrate. Of course, there's the obvious shish kabob, but we prefer the sweeter, more colorful Gummi Kabob. Or, how about the beautiful, sparkly Rock Candy Crystal Sticks? And, of course, we couldn't let this holiday go by without slurping on one of the hundreds of different lollipops in our collection!

With the upcoming debut of the new Captain Marvel film, we thought this would be a good time to celebrate anything and everything related to superheroes! We love watching superheroes save the world in an epically choreographed battle full of explosions and flying cars, but we can't help but think that maybe we'd like to meet a superhero with a more practical otherworldly ability. So here are the superheroes we'd really love to see.
We're kicking off the New Year with a monthly newsletter, full of sweet new information and ideas, including new products, candy recipes and crafts, holiday fun, and store events and updates.
We thought this whole "Candy A to Z" thing was a swell idea that would give our customers a better appreciation for the huge variety of products we carry and maybe introduce some of you to candies you've never tried before. But we ran into a little problem... Not all of our products start with a letter, so we decided to add a Bonus round. And the product we've selected for this special feature is truly worthy of the spotlight!
If you've followed our blog for a while, you know that we really get a kick out of candy that looks like other stuff. For example, there are candies that look like other foods, such as our gummy hamburgers and hot dogs. There are candies that look like non-food items, like chocolate coins or rocks, or even gummy army men. And then there is today's featured item: Yum Yum Marshmallow Candy Cones.
