Welcome to 2018, fellow candy lovers! We are so grateful for a very busy, very exciting 2017, and we are absolutely giddy with excitement as we look forward to another year full of fun events, activities and lots and lots of sweets!
We know you don't really need an excuse to indulge in our yummy wares, but we thought it would be fun to give you a little preview of what the year looks like through our eyes...a calendar of candy, so to speak. We hope it'll help you stay ahead of the game and always have some seasonal sweets available for whatever special occasions life may spring on you in this new year. Here's what we're looking forward to:
If you're like most people, sweets aren't the first thing on your mind this month. After a busy holiday season of overindulging you're probably being a little more watchful about what you eat. Still, January tends to be cold and gloomy, so treat yourself once in a while to stave off the winter doldrums! We recommend spicy sweets like Hot Tamales, Atomic Fireballs and Hotlix Fiesta Collection lollipops to melt away the winter chill and tropical treats from Hi-Chew, Lemonhead and Razzles to make those daydreams about vacationing somewhere warm a little more realistic.
This one's easy: Valentine's Day! All City Candy has tons and tons of Valentine's Day Candy, and since this lovely holiday falls right in the middle of the month, you can spend the first two weeks of February shopping for Valentine's treats and the last two weeks of the month enjoying them! We recommend Foiled Belgian Chocolate Color Splash Roses, a Dove Assorted Chocolates Heart Tin or Cinnamon Jelly Hearts. Oh, and don't forget the classic Conversation Hearts -- a Valentine's Day tradition since first grade!
Saint Patrick's Day is this month, so we're celebrating everything green and also collecting all the gold coins we can find! Treat yourself and your friends to Andes Crème de Menthe Thins, Fort Knox Milk Chocolate Gold Coins and Green Gumballs! And don't get caught off guard, Passover begins on March 30th (Our Top Ten Plagues Bucket is perfect for the occasion!) and Easter is on April 1st, so now's the time to plan for those holidays as well!
Easter is April 1st, so make sure those baskets contain enough candy to last all month long! Cadbury Crème Eggs are a classic Easter treat (one of Jimmy Sweet Tooth's favorites, in case you were wondering...). We also have a wonderful selection of chocolate bunnies in every shape and size you could possibly want (check back in March and we'll have a lot more in stock)! And no Easter basket is complete without jelly beans, so stock up on your favorite flavors from Jelly Belly, Brach's and more! Oh and since April 1st is also April Fool's Day, you may want to show up to Easter Dinner with this "pizza."
April Showers bring May flowers, and what a sweet surprise it will be when some festive flower candies show up at your home or office. We like Awesome Blossoms Gummi Candy and Flower Power Candy. May is also all about Mom, and whether she likes chocolate, caramel, toffee or mints, we have the perfect gift somewhere among our thousands of sweet treats. You can even surprise her with a selection from our gourmet hand-dipped chocolates or a subscription to our Chocolate of the Month Club.
June is the first official month of the summer season, and you know we've got all kinds of candy to celebrate that! Stock up on bubble gum for your favorite little leaguers, or enjoy classic summertime flavors like Watermelon and Pink Lemonade. And don't forget to treat your pops to something special for Father's Day! Our Fishing-Themed Father's Day Gift Bucket is an excellent choice for some dads, while others might prefer a can of Jelly Belly Draft Beer Flavored Jelly Beans. If your pa's a little more adventurous, treat him to a habanero or scorpion lollipop!
And just like that, we've satisfied your sweet tooth for the first half of the year!
