All City Candy, 746 Richmond Rd. in Richmond Heights and 7441 Mentor Ave. in Mentor, is collecting candy donations to help fill “Santa Sacks” to be delivered to patients at University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital. Customers at the candy megastores may purchase a candy item of their choice to place into the sacks, which All City Candy will then deliver to Rainbow on Christmas Day.
“We always like to find ways to give back to the community,” said Elisabeth Sapell, owner of All City Candy. “We have been partnering with Rainbow for several years now – we fill baskets for Easter and now we’re filling Santa Sacks for the third time for Christmas. There are so many children being cared for at Rainbow over the holidays. These children and their families are going through a difficult time and we want to give them a little something to help spread some cheer,” said Sapell.
All City Candy will be collecting donations at the store through Christmas Eve.
In addition to the donations for Rainbow, All City Candy is offering other activities and promotions for families over the holiday season, including:
Breakfast with Santa – Sunday, December 17 at Richmond and Mentor Stores: Santa will mingle with guests during a buffet-style breakfast and each child will receive a special treat. Free photos with Santa will be available following the breakfast. Reservations required for both children and adults. There are two seatings at both stores. $15 per person (children under 2 free). Free photos with Santa will also be available to the public throughout store hours on Sunday, December 17. Santa may stop by for additional photo hours during the holiday season – call stores or check the All City Candy Facebook page for details.
Ugly Sweater Contest: From December 1 through December 23, wear your best ugly holiday sweater to either store to be entered into a contest to win a $25 All City Candy Gift Card. Photos will be posted on All City Candy’s Facebook page for the public to vote for their favorite.
Candy Cash: Now through December 31, when customers spend $50, they’ll receive $5 Candy Cash redeemable January 1 through February 28, 2018.
