On one hand, it's astounding for any product to weather a century of ups, downs, and changing tastes. On the other, a MoonPie is basically a pre-made, individually wrapped s'more. How could a product like that not succeed?!
Since its creation in 1917, the MoonPie has satisfied generations of snackers with its winning combination of chocolate, marshmallow and graham crackers. Except for the addition of a couple new flavors in the latter half of the 20th century, its tasty trifecta has remained largely unchanged.
Today, this American classic is still satisfying the cravings of fans all over the world and is gaining even more attention thanks to a wildly funny Twitter account. The way things are looking, MoonPie has a good shot at sticking around for another hundred years!

Second, I'm pretty sure I remember my great grandma being a fan of MoonPies, so it really holds a nostalgic charm for me, as well. And that's before I even mention the taste!
