Candy A to Z: Bun Bar

September 06, 2017

Bun Bar LogoThere's no mention of it on the Pearson's Candy website, but it's possible that a time machine is used in the manufacture of Bun Bars. Even if you've never seen a Bun before, one look at its retro wrapper and irregular round shape will tell you these chewy, chocolaty, nutty confections are a classic candy of yesteryear. Though they've been manufactured by different companies throughout their long history, Bun Bars have maintained uniquely simple and luscious flavors and high quality that have kept them popular for nearly a century. Try a Bun Bar today (or try several, and sample each of the three available flavors) and be transported back to the roaring 20s!

Jimmy Sweet Tooth says: "I tried the Maple variety which, I believe, is the original. There is definitely a strong, toasty peanut smell as soon as you open the wrapper. Can't say that I've experienced that before, and it's pretty cool! The maple is very subtle, but I don't mind that at all. All of the ingredients are balanced pretty perfectly. It's almost like a homemade approximation of a Snickers bar. It's very, very tasty!"
