We understand that getting your kids to read can sometimes be a challenge. In our last post, we offered some free printables for treat bags that can be used to entice your kids into reading, or reward them for it. But we also understand that some of you may prefer to save candy for only verrrry special occasions.
Well, that's okay, because we have a sweet treat for your readers that contains absolutely no sugar... fun, whimiscal, colorful bookmarks!
When you sit down to enjoy a good book, don't you just love to pull out a fresh, new bookmark to save your page? Now your kids can have their choice of six different cool, fun designs to remind them that reading is sweet.
Just print out our Free Printable Reading is Sweet Bookmarks onto card stock and cut to size. Punch a hole in the top and tie with some ribbon or yarn, and you're ready to read!
To prevent wear and tear, you can laminate the bookmark or, if you don't have access to a laminator, press the printed and cut bookmark between two pieces of clear contact paper, rub out any air bubbles, and trim about 1/8" from the edge of the bookmark. Then punch the hole in the top.
We think these bookmarks are so cute, we just may have to use them ourselves. Don't worry, parents, we won't tell if you decide to print these out for your own use, too!
