Did you know that not all licorice is created equal? At All City Candy, we love every type of this chewy treat, as you can tell from our extensive selection of licorice candy. But we've also heard from some folks who hold a strong preference for the Australian style of this particular snack, and we're always happy to do a little taste-testing!
What's so different about this down-under delight? Maybe it's just the fact that they spell it "Liquorice," which does seem to lend the product a sort of classy, exotic appeal. Or it could be that the mere thought of Australia, with its adorable koalas and kangaroos just makes anything from there seem awesome. However, according to reports on Mashable and reddit, Australian style liquorice also has superior flavor and a more pleasing chew than many of the most popular licorice products here in the United States.
Do we agree? Well, But asking us to rank it among all our other products would be like asking us which of our children is our favorite. Guess you'll have to try it and decide for yourself :)
Jimmy Sweet Tooth says: Oh man, this is another candy that you just know is going to be special from the minute you open the bag. The fruit aroma is so strong, I couldn't wait to bite into a piece (fortunately, I didn't have to!). There's a great flavor, great chew, and they're not overly sweet. Just a perfectly balanced, easy to eat, bite-sized snack. Fantastic!
