Sweet Graduation Party Favors

Have some fun with candy by making these sweet graduation party favors. You can find all the candy you need to make these and more -- including candy in your grad's school colors -- on AllCityCandy.com or at our store in Richmond Heights.

Make little "diplomas" using Smarties Candy Rolls. Cut pieces of paper printed with "Class of 2016" or your grad's name to the width of the candy rolls. Wrap the paper around the Smarties and secure with tape or glue. Finish by tying a ribbon in your grad's school color around the roll.

Don't want to wrap all those Smarties Candy Rolls? Fill a plastic vase, champagne flute, wine glass or a mason jar with Smarties, or candy in your grad's school colors. Then top the glass or jar with a graduation cap! Here's how:

• Cut a square of black card stock or construction paper that's larger than the opening of the glass or jar.
• Cut a strip of the black card stock or construction paper, wrap it around the top and glue or tape the ends together (you can overlap the ends a little).
• Remove the strip from the glass or jar and glue or tape it to the center of the black square.
• Cut a small circle out of the black paper to go on top of the square.
• Cut a few strands of embroidery floss, ribbon or other cording in your grad's school colors. Fold in half and tie at the end. Glue or tape the folded end to the center of the cap and glue or tape the black circle on top.
• Place your cap on top of the jar or glass.

Mini Reese's Cup graduation caps are the cutest! Simply cut a square of black card stock or construction paper that's a little bit larger than the Reese's Cup and glue or tape it to the top. Cut a small length of ribbon, fold it in half and glue or tape it the the center of the black square. Cut a small circle out of the black card stock and glue it on top of the folded ribbon.

Another sweet idea for making candy diplomas. Wrap rolls of your favorite flavor of Mentos Chewy Mints with parchment paper or light brown construction paper. Tie with ribbon in your grad's school colors.
